My Mother is from a third world country. Due to certain circumstances my mother has no way of getting my fathers name. He is from another country with no ties in mine. Lost cause?

i heard of people who found their long lost families after 40-50 years with help from the media/newspapers. ask your mom if she remembers any details about him.
