Like what if you never met, broke up because it was too complicated, then planned to meet in a year or so when it was more convenient to relocate and you can't resume any contact? Like you call them and text them and everything, but theres no answer or updates? How do you know there even still alive?

Look up his name on the internet, phonebook, or if you knew names of his relatives or friends you can ask them through email or facebook.
