How Can I access Facebook in China? - Kong Ye De - 11-09-2012 07:50 PM

Facebook has been blocked by the Chinese Government since the Xinjiang riots. I usully access Facebook to stay in touch with relatives in Europe. Does anyone know any back doors to get around this block?

The Chinese gov't is getting a lot better at computer technology. In fact they're as good as we are. If the gov't doesn't want you to get on Facebook, you aren't getting on. Any backdoors will probably only work a few times. Their style of gov't means they have much stricter control over your internet access than the US gov't does with its citizens.

Sorry, man, you're out of luck.

I have several friends both in China and the Middle East where such restrictions are common. They use the Personal VPN to unblock web sites. It is very reliable and encrypts your connection out of country so the censors can't see what you are doing. Some of them have been using it for 2 years with no issues.
