Google + even though I doubt Facebook will officially CLOSE, maybe die out like My____ but Google+ all the way, sorry Yahoo :/

No. Facebook woun't close down.
As for what social network is also good? Well, there are a few going around, Google + especially. Yahoo meme seems ok too. There were some talks of bringing back myspace to a higher level.
There are other ways keep in touch like msn, twitter, yahoo! gmail, aol.
But i think in some years a NEW social network will take over the internet. With 3D and stuff.

A good social network is http://www.jotbubble.com/features.php to view the list of features the site has to offer . That site beats google + , beats facebook , beats twitter all together . In my opinion . But most people have said this too ...so soon it might not even be an opinion any longer
