What information should be displayed on Facebook, and what shouldn't? - Lilly - 11-09-2012 07:56 PM

I have my privacy settings to display everything to ONLY my friends on Facebook, but what information should just not be put on Facebook? I want to stay safe on Facebook, any advice?

Facebook has no real information about me. and that is the ONLY way to stay safe on FB.

Information you wouldn't want others to see/ things you wouldn't want people to know about you. Facebook does state that there are certain times when they will share your information; those can be accessed through the Privacy Policy page. As far as photos go, keep a fairly neutral picture for your profile pic, i.e. nothing too questionable (pictures of you drinking, smoking, partying, wearing extremely revealing clothing, etc.). Just use good judgment and how you would react if a certain person saw a certain piece of info be your barometer.
