what all do they look at? do they look at your Facebook account? What do they factor in to get a security clearance

The answer is IT DEPENDS
If a socalled regular SECRET clearance then they look at criminal records and financial information
If a TOP SECRET then its all the above plus they talk to neighbors and relatives and references
If a CONFIDENTIAL, then a simple criminal check
