Like seriously. I get notifications for likes, but I don't get any for status comments or other comments on posts/other statuses I have commented on. Please help me!

You may have cancled those notifications

Some of the privacy details changed when Facebook changed. You have to go into your "Account Settings" then to "Notifications" and specifically check what activity you want to be notified of. Happy Facebooking!
