No, you can just choose their answer as the best answer.. that will automatically make them know that you liked their ideas and so you are thankful to them Smile Smile keep smiling Smile

yahoo is pretty touchy with everything thus saying thanks offends them to a degree, just choose a best answer and that should get your message across

No this is not a chat room and saying thanks is a violation

Change to desk top first then. Yahoo Answers is not a chat site so you have to be careful not to be chatting, The best way however, you could click on their avatar, if they accept ims or emails click on the appropriate one and follow the prompts. If the question is still open: click on the "edit" link below your question then "add details" add your note, preview and submit. The very best time to comment is when you choose best answer to your question.

You don't directly. YA is not a chat room or Facebook. You have two options:

1. E-mail or IM the user through their profile.

2. Wait until you pick the BA and add comments for each user. Probably only the Best Answer will see it since they only get a notification.

The ONLY exception is that you can add additional details to your question for clarification of the question. Do not call users by name doing this or it will be deemed chat.
