Can I turn off certain Facebook notifications? - UmmmYea?? - 11-09-2012 08:25 PM
I always get notifications on FB saying that someone likes my status. Honestly, I could care less if someone likes my status and the notifications (i.e. the little red blurp that shows how many I have) are really annoying.
Does anyone know how to disable this?
P.S.--This isn't regarding email notifications, but actual notifications on the FB homepage.

no there is no way to switch of the notifications at the top of the screen and i agree they can be annoying especially when it cr@p like someone just poked you

I just set-up an email account just for garbage (mail.com) are good and all my ebay notifications and FB notifications go there
I never look at it, I use it for all the sites that want an email address but that I dont want to send me stuff
Obviously I miss out on all the FB emails but I just don't need or want them - I check FB often enough
