I don't know something specific that you are searching for.
I mean, they are both very good websites used to be in contact with you freinds.
I would recommend FAcebook. It has more options, more than a billion people in the world use it, and it has good privacy options. Plus, it is easier to talk to your freinds there. You can Wall post, message and Chat, all on the site.
Also, you can do fun stuff such as view applications and do quizzes, just to pass your time.
HOW TO JOIN FACEBOOK?
Just type : http://www.facebook.com on your browser adress bas, and a site will open. on that very page you will have instructions, step by step which are like a tutorial used to guide you through Facebook.
