I would like to know what type of disaster do you like. Please tell me why I have a page on facebook that I am running right know you can look me up as stephanie nagel-storm spotter.

Tornadoes, Because usually a much smaller area is affected by a tornado than a hurricane or tropical storm, especially if there are significant storm surges with with a tropical storm or hurricane. I'm a native New Orleanian who CHOOSES to live in central OK most of the year for several reasons. The ONLY reasons that my new Orleans house did NOT flood from Katrina's storm surges was the elevation of the house's slab, Jefferson parish replacing the water lines along my street from 1998 to 2004, and the location of my house relative to open to the air drainage itches which went over their banks. 50% or more of east bank Jefferson parish flooded because of the storm surge from the lake. I was lucky, but houses just 1/4 mile or less from mine were not as lucky. Yes, I have flood insurance, the very same policy that my Dad bought in 1968. BTW, the flood insurance company does not care who signs the check that renews the policy.
