Notifications on Facebook after someone has deleted the post? - Jason - 11-09-2012 08:35 PM

Hi, occasionally i would get a notification even though the person has deleted the post which i presume was posted on my wall. Does this always happen when a post is deleted? Will facebook fix this?

It will come up with an error saying 'This content is currently unavailable'. This always happens, and you get the notification because the post was there at the time of the notification being sent. There is nothing to fix, as it is a true notification at the time of posting. Many people delete wall posts that are spam, for example they post on your wall 'accidentally' from an app/game or something that they opened, and then deleted it so as not to annoy you.

You should get an email however, which will show you what they wrote if they did post a comment specifically to your wall, although you cannot comment on it as it is just like the notification issue - a matter of time.
