How do people get viruses from Facebook, what is the best way to avoid them, and what are the symptoms of a virus from Facebook?

They get them from external links, like 'facebook groups/pages' and user posted content.

facebook rarely gives you virus
its the links that you go into might have viruses

facebook itself doesn't give viruses
the only way i think you could get a virus on facebook is by downloading something or clicking a link to some obscure place. The best way to avoid these kinds of viruses would be to be cautious about which links you click and not just clicking sporadically
