Am i able to get rid of older post on my Facebook Wall?

if you hover over the post you want to delete, a small cross will appear at the top right hand corner of the post, click it to delete it. if it is one of the facebook apps ('see who deleted me' for example) some of them are scammy, and you cannot delete them, but you can delete all of your own posts
