I'm in the process of writing a story that is loosely inspired by an affair that my father had about 10 years ago. He and my mom are still married. I want to ask her everything about it. But I don't know how to approach her. I.know she has a Facebook so I can easily message her. But should I tell her that I'm writing a story? I want to go into this as gently and tactfully as possible. Oh and my parents have no idea that I would be talking to her.
