No, personally, I don't believe that. But, it's certainly cathartic for those who are grieving, so it's not a bad thing.

I cannot guarantee a yes or no answer.


But I can say that the expression of grief and remorse for someone lost is always a good thing, and would be appreciated by those lost regardless of their afterlife status.

He was a baby and it would be difficult for him to understand what it was all about but in a way I do agree that he would be able to feel something. God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and Our Lady will be giving this poor child so much love now he is out of the hands of his evil mother, step father and lodger. God Bless the wee boy.
