How to convince your parents to let you have Facebook? - melissa - 11-09-2012 08:53 PM
My sister didn't get Facebook until she was 17. I am 15 1/2. The main reason i can't have it is because my sister would get really mad and defensive about it and it would't be "fair" if i got it when i was younger. I don't know how to convince them to let me have an account. Any help?
If I say all my friends have it, they'll just say that it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing.

WOW, your parents are really over the top, I am 15 and got Facebook when I was 11/12. Just say all your friends already have it and your sick of being treated like a baby

I remember reading some statistics in my school paper about how younger kids are starting to do things that older kids did but at a much younger age, like staying up late, getting phones, etc. If you could do some Google searching and find those stats that would probably be a good argument.
Also Facebook had a lot less kids on it back then, now its basically ruled by them.

Don't tell them. I know plenty of girls that use fake names because they don't want creepers stalking them. Same principle applies, just with your parents. Keep in mind all profile pics and your banner image are always public.
