Not only my boyfriend owes 40 grand in child support he has back pay so it's even worse. He wants to leave to Washington DC for a vacation and he lives in Los Angeles is he able to fly out or his he restricted from leaving?

He owes $40,000 in child support and he is going on vacation? What a freaking loserrrrr.

How about taking the vacation money and giving it to whomever has been supporting the kids he made, be it the mother or the taxpayers?

Why are there arrears? If there is a legitimate reason, such as unemployment, the obligor can still file for a reduction in them. Most Child Support obligors do not know there is free help from the state, by federal law, to obtain a modification. At the minimum, a motion should be filed to have any interest penalties set aside, which can double or triple the amount owed. Of the total media “reported” amount of child support owed, 83% if interest penalties and not unpaid child support. These links will teach what needs to be known about child support.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.

pretty much:
If he's making payments, he can go.

no arrangements
he better stay home and hide!

How pathetic. He has money for "vacation", but not to support his children.
He can go wherever he wants, nothing is stopping him.

How could he even THINK about taking a vacation, when he OWES 40 GRAND in child support ? It sounds like he's already taken his vacation, and now he needs to WORK !!!
