I have to tell the young lads at work this all the time and its still true
Treat them not as a potential partner, but as a friend.
You get anxious around one person because your brain is light years ahead thinking of 10 weeks down the line.
Treat em like your going only to see them for a five minute chat like you've crossed paths in the street, and not going to again for ages.
Get a smile, a humorous joke in (quick though) and you'll find you can open up much easier. With this, banter is so much easier.
