i am new to facebook and just added my friends, i noticed that my girlfriend regularly goes online but she doesnt want to approve my friend request until i made her to. we've been on and off for 5 years now and almost living separate lives. ie, different set of friends.

I think you should talk to her, ask her if there is something wrong? or whether she is hiding your relationship? Dont be accusing just tell her how it feels cos that aint right!
