Are they affiliated or what's the matter? I mean, they're not the only social media giants out there...

They are the most commonly mentioned social networks that are mentioned in the industry. People hear it on the TV, News, movies, the list just goes on. Thats pretty much how its summed up.

Facebook and Twitter are mentioned together, simply because they're giants when it comes to networking online with your family and friends. There's a lot of similarities, even if one platform only allows you a 140-character tweet and the other lets you post more than that. I think it will be fun to check out the differences on both on the source below:
