I really want one so I can talk to my friends more. I'm 14 but my mom still won't let me get one. My sister just got one, she's 15 but isn't the social type and just decided to get one. I have lots of friends that I don't want to lose touch with. My mom is so strict with everything. What should I do?

Tell her about privacy settings so only your friends can see your stuff and tell her that "Everyone" has it therefore she'll feel bad if you are left out.

just ask her once again and explain why you want a Facebook . Tell her you dint want to loose contacts with your old friends and family .

talk to her about it. tell her youll use it in moderation. maybe tell her she should get one too so she can keep her eye on your page! thats what i did(:

Here's the game plan to convince your parents to let you do something:
1. Do your research. Figure out why she doesn't want you to get a facebook. Find really good reasons for you to get a facebook, and find ways to meet her half-way. Tell her about the security settings and everything.
2. Plan out the conversation. Write down all the things you want to say when you talk to her. Make sure you have this all memorized and know EXACTLY what you want to say when you talk to her.
3. Talk to her. First establish rules of the conversation, like "Please let me finish before you say anything." Say all of your reasons right off, and then explain the compromises you can make.
