Do all of these online petitions honestly make a difference? - kayangtee - 11-09-2012 09:12 PM

I have been invited to sign many petitions online. Most of them are sent via Facebook notification. I just wanted to know if these petitions actually make any sort of difference. Also, what is the point of groups Facebook groups such as "Make all flights home free for soldiers"? I mean, what is joining a group such as this really going to accomplish?

Nope. Bunch of crap.

And flights to bring a service member home from Iraq, Afghanland, Kuwait and hundreds of other places back to their duty station are free. No one pays for the flight home from a deployment; all covered by the DoD.

Those groups are usually just a call to glory by someone who wants to say "see, I do support the troops. I made a worthless facebook site, but don't ask me to volunteer at Walter Reed or Bethesida or the USO because that requires real work".

Yes. they do make a difference.I t lets those who are supposed to be representing us know that we are informed and that no matter how much money they receive from special interests we will vote them out. special interests fear the masses and wish to suppress the vote and divide the nation. We must not be divided and we must send a message that we the people are NOT for sale!!! Look at how much press the loud-mouthed corporate funded fake tea party garbage got.
