I've had my Twitter for a while and I have almost 50 followers (barely). I need more followers so how can I get more?

or show your vag while exiting a car..whichever..

Follow people who follow back. Or follow that Follow Back group that gets you a bunch of followers.

Say interesting things and follow people who have similiar interests to yours. Be sure to use hashtags, when appropriate for your content so that your tweets will more often surface in searches.
Be careful though - don't spam hashtags with irrelevent content - that's a fast way to get blacklisted.
