My mother in law wants to be my facebook friend? - lil sammy - 11-09-2012 09:15 PM

She added me last night after setting up her own account. I don't have anything to hide, per se, but she is sort of judgmental and I've never been her favorite person.
To me, facebook is for friends, and I have a lot of picture with some obvious drinking, partying and of course all sorts of off color jokes and gifts from pals.
I don't want her on there, but how do I explain?
Thanks a lot for help with a sticky situation!

hopefully you dont see her a lot

if someone adds me that i dont want i will either add them and delete them like a week later

or i will keep the friend request pending for like a week then delete it

IT IS A TRAP. DO NOT ADD

You can always add her and you can control what she sees, like someone said put her on a limited profile, or you can set it up so she can't see certain things on your profile. its under the privacy settings.

Do not add her. Just ignore the request. Should she personally ask you, kindly tell her that you would rather not and that Facebook is a way for her to be in touch with HER friends. Tell her that you are not comfortable sharing some of your private info with her and her friends. She will have to get over it. Don't do it...you will regret it.
