Am i weird for not wanting to hang out with people a lot in the Summer? - :) - 11-09-2012 09:21 PM
I don't really hang out with people that much in the summer. The only friend I want to hang out with is usually busy babysitting her little brother. I can't drive until September, so I can't go anywhere unless I somehow get a ride. Is it weird that I don't hang out with people that much during the summer?

No, I don't want to be with anybody. Some people are like that in the summer, closing themselves off from the world.

Not at all. I always want to hang out in the summer, but when I get the oppotunity I want to just go home and do nothing. I only stay in contact with a few people over the summer.

-THAT Depends on what You ARE doing with Your Time- all Summer ! If you're just sitting around, day in & day out- on the Computer, or watching TV, or Playing video Games- then YES, -You ARE "weird" for wasting Your Time like That !! :o

Noooo, m'duckie.
It's only recently I've started going out with my friends. I've gotten into one of the best colleges in the UK and I'm leaving all my friends behind because it's limited spacing at this college. So it's only now since I've left school that I've started to hang out with them. It's mainly because of my best friend because we're the type of people that just get one another. We're not afraid to be ourselves in front of one another.
I know it'll feel weird because you might see people on a social networking site going 'Ooooh ______'s party was IMMENSE!' or lots of pictures from people you know at parties or something. You'll look at it and think 'Should i be doing that? I'm the same age? Am i strange'
I used to do that a lot and for a bit, i felt like the odd one out.
But you need to realise that if that isn't your personality, you shouldn't do something that you don't want to do. Stuff the parties. If you don't like going to them, don't go to them. Same for going out in the summer too.
I'll give you my example
Every one from the school I've just left goes to parties every weekend. They get drunk. I see lots of Photos on Facebook the following week.
I'm more happy going into old record shops finding out music that i really like.
It was the same at school for me really. Music means a hell of a lot to me. It's all i do. But the music people play around me, like Minaj, and 1D I didn't really want to be around and didn't want to listen to it or take an interest or go to those kind of parties. (I've left now, so i'm speaking past tense) But i spent my weekends with my mom going into the city going into old vintage shops and going on the internet finding music that i didn't know and did really like.
See what i mean? A lot of people are like this. Not everyone is a social butterfly.

It is not weird because i really don't like people a lot unless i really know you and trust you then i will hang with you.
