Hello, my sister is 11 years old and bored out of her mind right now.She's pretty mature for her age.She wants to go on a website like facebook, but for younger ages.She's not allowed on facebook, twitter, or myspace yet, but she wants to chat with other people.It's okay if it's a virtual world but she recommends being able to uploud pictures.Thanks!

roblox.com can let you customize your person and go to games and chat with others. But since it is for younger ages it does not allow Photo uploading (of yourself).
I don't know many younger girl websites which are suitable for her age and can also let you upload photos. Sorry . Hope this helps thought my Daughter LOVES Roblox, we even bought her a membership!

habbo is good for talking to other people, i used to use it when i was about that age although you can upload pictures.
bebo is another one that could be good. ive never used it but i know loads of people that used to be obsessed with it haha its kinda like facebook for younger people i think

Take a look at Hi5. There, an avatar is created by the person instead of using an actual picture - which is much safer.

i go on girlsgogames.com it's safe for girls all ages it's not a virtual world but a website with a whole bunch of games for every category and they add games every day you can't upload pictures but it's very fun and i think she'll enjoy it!
i also go on smallworlds.com it's for ages 13+ its a virtual world where you earn tokens and gold to buy furniture,houses,and clothes for your avatar.you can chat.one problem is with chattin you can say watever you want but because she's mature she should be able to ignore the bullys creeps and weirdos on there.you can also buy a poster with your coins or gold and download pictures from flickr on it and keep it at her house online it's really fun!
