I don't think so, well, I've never been able to do so. All I've been able to do is deactivate my account and nothing comes through to my phone or wateva saying people have sent me messages because they can't view my profile cos it's deactivated if that makes sense, haha.

go into account settings
then security settings
then at the bottom click de-activate account
