Everywhere i go there is free search but they want you to join and pay to get the results. Is there a place i can join for free and search for lost relatives?
I was looking for information like phone numbers and addresses

at my local library they have a system to do it, i dont know but maybe check your library or your local city archives and register place if you have all the sufficient names, goodluck.

In the USA, http://www.zabasearch.com is pretty good.
Facebook is too, surprisingly. It isn't just for the teens. 72 out of 500+ of my 1960ish high school graduating class are on it.
