Any way to stop Facebook from selling out my birthday? - Tylle Steinmetz - 11-09-2012 09:59 PM

Hello everyone.
My birthday is coming up. But I always have this little problem on facebook. Everytime its my birthday I get too many posts from strangers.
I don't mind getting congratulated. But I want it to be from my family and close friends only. In other words, people who actually remember my birthday without facebook.
It annoys me having to thank strangers who I dont really know, over and over again.

So, is there a way to stop facebook from reminding people?

I have 1 hour left. Please help me.

There is no way to stop people knowing about your birthday on facebook; except removing your date of birth completely from your facebook profile.

Go to your account settings (or if you have Timeline, go to it). Look around. You'll find a place to block the birthday. You should not be sharing any info with people outside of friends.
