My sister is always depressed even though she may not seem like it. She is often criticized because she eats when she's upset. Often I'm paired up with her and her friends in something and it's really crazy how these people she calls friends don't interact with her or even do anything they should these days. They are all spoiled and talk about dating and they are in elementary school. How can i help her self esteem? She always rejects and never wants to interact in much. She's been nearly failing ever since she started 3rd grade.

Sounds like your sister needs professional help. See a guidance counselor at school and let her in on your sister's problems and hope she convinces your mother to get her some real help.

it's the exact thing that happened to my older sister too..
if she's having problem in her school and you should just put her to other school like as my sister did..
oh take her to a shopping spree and you might ask for strangers' opinion about her look. it would help her self esteem because she wouldnt believe your opinion about her right?
maybe you could take her out to a mini shopping spree and let her wear makeup.. after that, you can ask for strangers' opinion.
i did the exact thing with my sister and my sister have higher self esteem by putting a pic of her on facebook. 41 people liked this photo and it boosted my sister's self esteem.
