Why do I keep getting this message? - Who now? - 11-09-2012 10:21 PM

Every time I post an answer I get the same message. I've checked the box not to show me the message again but for some reason it doesn't work. I've also changed who can see my Y! Answers activity on my profile, but that hasn't done anything either. Can someone help me?

"Y! Updates:
Your answer has been posted to Yahoo! Answers
An update about your answer will be shared outside of Answers.
Manage who sees your updates (Hyperlink to Y! account profile privacy settings)
Don't show this message again on Yahoo! Answers (Check box)"

Go to your profile and enable or disable the sharing of your questions with users of facebook, twitters and the like. Before you haven't made your choice the bubble will keep popping up! Here's how to do it: click on edit my info, scroll down to Y!Updates, make sure that <Don't share my updates> is displayed in the box, click <preview> at the bottom and then okay.

It is a mistake. Yahoo has always shared your posts with all the search engines. 2 months ago this same popup appeared and hundreds complained. Yahoo fixed it. Now it is back and Yahoo will fix it. Editing your profile only works for a few people.
Ignore the messages and they will soon stop.
