So, I uploaded this video on facebook and it's telling me to wait for it to finish processing.. How long exactly is that going to take? Before hand, it asked if I wanted to be sent a notification after it has finished & I just shut of my laptop before receiving a notification, so will that effect the video process?

No. Video processing is done on the Facebook servers, and is therefore not dependent on your computer, once the video file is uploaded. You will receive the notification next time you log onto Facebook.
