Ya thats all i can think of you should tell her that you can set provacy settings on your facebook maybe thats why she dosent want you to have one.

Tell her it will help you keep up with your friends. And you can also keep in touch with family members so that they feel that they are a part of your life.

You can socialize with your friends from home. Phone costs, text cost but Facebook is free as long as you have internet.
