I want to get a facebook, but I'd like to be sure: if potential employers can access someones facebook, can everyone? How safe is it?

yeah anyone can see it..
unless you put it on private to were only your friends can see it

It's very safe, you'll find once you make it that you can adjust the privacy settings to your own discretion.

It's safe. You just have to set ur own privacy settings to "friends only".
