Before I was thirteen, when I was younger, I had a facebook and my parents found out and made me deactivate it. I already told her she could have my password, it would be set on private, and my older relatives could look at it, too.

try telling her that this will connect you better with your friends and even with your teachers at school
try showing her some useful groups
try telling her that she it is now world wide and millions are using it m and no harm of using facebook as long as she will be having a regular look on our account
also mention to her that you become updated by the recent events , birthdays of ur friends through the facebook

This is the problem we face in this "panic" age of parenting.
Parents are so afraid of letting their kids make their own mistakes, they never let the kids experience life, learn by trial and error. Then later on, when they don't have their parents to watch over their shoulder, they have no basis in reality to deal with the real problems that life throws at you.
Facebook is nothing parents should be afraid of, and as long as they have access to the account they should not be trying to be so controlling.
That is not to say that you should not be careful, and communicate anything you see or are worried about to your parents.
