And if the parent recieving the child support has a higher income than the parent paying, is that considered as well? - Anna E - 11-09-2012 11:41 PM In determining the amount of child support, there is a formula that is used. It takes into consideration the income of BOTH of the child's parents, but not the income of other's in the household.
