If you report someone on facebook, will the police get involved? - Annoyingpet289 - 11-09-2012 11:49 PM

I reported someone on facebook because they harassed me once, calling me a lesbo and said that nobody likes me. I thought that facebook would just delete their account, but my big brother is saying that the police will get involved and come to our house. Is that true?

I highly doubt that the police will get involved. And I doubt their account will be deleted. Just block the person and move on with your life.

No this is not true, there account is not likely to be deleted either. If you find the harassment to continue you can go to your local police station and file a report. However; the police will not get involved over something so small on face book.

They typically don't unless it involves children.

They may if you persist in reminding them of it.

Being rude is not a crime.
