Is it possible to block websites on a specific computer on a wi-fi network? - D - 11-09-2012 11:51 PM My sister has been posting nasty things about me on Facebook and I want to block her access to Facebook without her knowing - i.e. make her think it's just down temporarily. I tried to do it on the router but it blocks it for me as well. I have Trend Micro Internet Security PRO. How do I do this? - EINSTEIN - 11-09-2012 11:59 PM It depends on the type of wi-fi router you use. I know that Linksys and Netgear routers do let you block specific computers (based on their MAC addresses) from reaching specific websites. Check your router's configuration manual. - globeweasel - 11-09-2012 11:59 PM look in windows help - Michele C - 11-09-2012 11:59 PM Why don't you say something like: Knock it off, or I will start posting about YOU! That should make her think about it. - Zhao Wu - 11-09-2012 11:59 PM try this smart parental conttrol software. http://www.monitoring-softwares.com/parental-monitoring-software.html - Adrian - 11-09-2012 11:59 PM Without loading software on her computer, you may be stuck. Since both of you are wireless, you cannot block a site in the router without blocking everyone, at least with the router you have. Or, contact Facebook, and complain about a user saying bad things about you, see if they can block or disable her access.... |
