When I am about to go to facebook. I notice the news results and It says Facebook and Twitter users may be targeted by burglars. Please help me

status updates can tell them where you are, specifically when you are away from home.

help you on what? The internet is not safe for anyone...what do you want protected for? You don't want to be known and are worried...stay off the computer! THAT is all that can stop them.....

Because people provide WAY TOO MUCH personal information that criminals used to have to work to get. People for years have been told that IF you are going on vacation: stop the mail delivery, stop the mail delivery, have someone mow the lawn, put lights on timers, etc.
People on Facebook and Twitter TELL THE WORLD including the criminals that they are away from home on vacation AND they give out their addresses!
NOT A GOOD IDEA.
