So I woke up and I checked my facebook and it gave me the notification that a friend of mine updated their status, I asked one of my friends why it gave me that and he said I must've added her as a close friend, I checked and I didn't. I'm never on this girls profile it just showed up how do I fix it?
How do I do that?

Thats da point of fb to know what your friends r thinking and to coment and there is no way to disable dis

I had this issue this weekend which I believe is a new "feature" whereby Facebook treat people on your Friends list as "Close friends" on your behalf (even though they aren't on your Close friends list) and then send you intermittent Notifications you would prefer not to receive.
To correct this I selected "Close friends", which for me was under "Friends" on the left-hand side, and then selected "Notifications" and changed the setting to "Off". So far I have not had any more unwanted notifications.
