Why is my iPhone keeps lagging and crashed? - shazzwan i - 11-10-2012 12:24 AM

Hey. I have a problem here. I have an iPhone 16GB with iOS 4 or something like that. My problem is this, my iPhone is slow and keeps lagging. When I opened Facebook, it loads then it suddenly closed. Sometimes it's okay but sometimes it's not. The same goes with other apps. Sometimes the iPhone crashes and goes into Safe Mode. Is it possible that upgrading my iPhone to iOS 4 may have something to do with it? Can anyone help me? Please?

It might of happen with my cell phone, I don't know if that's the same problems that you have on your phone; when the number didn't go through when I dialed it, then I may have to turn it off and back on again, & try that number again, then it will go through.

Your iPhone is basically a computer, and like any computer apps can lose their brains and occasionally the phone needs to be rebooted. Whenever my iPhone starts to lag or the battery looks like it is draining faster than usual, I perform the following maintenance tasks that clear it right up.

First, you can shut down all the open apps that are currently running. To do this, press the home button on the bottom twice quickly. Along the bottom of the screen you'll see all of the apps that are currently loaded and running. Press and hold one of them for a couple of seconds until the minus sign appears and they start shaking. Then press the minus on each app that you want to close. This doesn't uninstall or hurt anything, just closes the app. Whenever I have a Facebook app hang, shutting it down from here usually fixes it.

Second, you can reset or basically reboot your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the home button and the button on the top of the phone. Keep holding them as the phone says "slide to turn off" and as the screen goes dark. You can finally let go when you see the Apple symbol appear which means the phone has reset.

Good luck!
