I want to delete my twitter account but not permanently. I just want to deactivate it for a while but use it again later. Help?

Yes you can deactivate it under account settings, then re activate by logging in

Yes. I deleted my account but then i had to mail a support ticket to twitter and they restored it for me but when i deleted i didnt know i was going to want it back. So an easier way to do it is creat a support ticket asking to deactivate for a while so you can log back into it and your account will be deactivated within 2-4 working days. You used to be able to click a button on settings saying deactivate my account and you could log back in but now its delete forever.

Twitter will no longer reactivate accounts.
