I kinda know a little bit about Twitter but not much.
I am thinking about getting an account.
Could some one please tell me it's full purpose, how it works, and any privacy/safety things I need to know?

Simply put, it is a microblog. Everyone can send 140 character message to anybody. You can follow others and others can follow you. Your message (tweet) will show on your followers' home. Try my twiiter at http://twitter.com/usbargains
