I don't get it.? - just one thing - 11-10-2012 01:16 AM I have an account - but I don't get it... you just put, for instance, @theellenshow with your message, and whoever manages the ellen show's twitter gets the message? Is it basically just for un-famous people to keep up with famous people? whats with the #stupidpoundsignthing? Will someone @ me something so I can see what the H it does? I'm @variatasha - at least I think it is... HELP ME WITH TWITTER!!! - Chelsea Jay - 11-10-2012 01:24 AM i hate twitter . - lowpollution472 - 11-10-2012 01:24 AM I used to tell my friends its a legal way of stalking people. But it's actually really fun. I made a lot of friends half way around the world that have the same intrest in blink 182 as I do & yeah it's really fun. - Alejandro - 11-10-2012 01:24 AM well when you do an @ the other person can see that message but if its ellen then she prob wont read it cause she must get tons a minute follow me @alejandro408 - Sarv - 11-10-2012 01:24 AM Usually, I think, personal celebrity accounts are personal. It is possible that @theellenshow is managed by her managers. Hashtags is a way to put a tweet in a specific topic, some use them as ads. You may find what a specific #hashtags mean at: http://twubs.com/ or http://whatthetrend.com/ or just google Mentions i.e. @username can be viewed under mentions timeline of receiver's account whether receiver follows you or not. The mentions timeline can be viewed by clicking on @username in the sidebar of twitter profile. This is also publicly viewable if any user performs a twitter search for @username. But if receiver is not following you he will not view your tweet in his main timeline. hope that helps |
