When I talk to other girls on facebook I use happy faces or emoticons when I'm talking to them. Or when I text my girlfriend I also use a lot of smiley faces. Do you girls think its weird?

Its fine if you use the occasional smiley. But if you overdo it then it sounds like your kind of coming off as flirty. Example:
Hey how are you doing
I hope good! miss you a lot. See you at school tomorrow. We'll have to catch up Hahah something like that. I don't know, I think it's fine. Just don't overthink it
