Social networking sites are very popular in the Philippines. Because Filipino people tends to be very social. They like to be in constant communication with there relatives and friends. And they love to meet new people.

If I will rank the social networking site as of now, it will be:

1. Friendster

2. Facebook

3. Myspace

4. Multiply

5. Hi5

6. Tagged

Have a nice day.

Friendster used to be the most popular, and it still is, imo. It`s especially a hit for those who like to stalk people and make fake accounts.

Facebook is becoming increasingly popular as well, and it has a much lower amount of creepers and fake accounts.

Multiply is another popular choice.

For reasons I cannot fathom, Twitter is also becoming trendy. The safe haven for internet stalkers, imo.

In my experience, other websites don`t appeal as much to Filipinos:

Myspace - more of a hit in North America than in the Philippines. Plus it`s pretty much been replaced by Facebook

Tagged - the "Tagged" trend is dead.

Hi5 - also a dead trend

Hoverspot - popular for a few months, then nosedived into obscurity.
