How much energy is spent when an average twitter user tweets? - marcoman - 11-10-2012 01:31 AM

I mean electrical energy not the number of calories spent by the user as he/she tweets.

More than a Facebook user... : )
number of calories spent by the user as he/she tweets. (easy to 'update Status'...)

Lesser than a Facebook user... : )
electrical energy... Coz more time is spent tagging pics, playing games etc... (hence more consumption)

~.0135 kwh per tweet.
You must take into account not only the sender but the 50 or so people that get it, the servers and telecommunications equipment that move the signal and then the fractional added use of vehicles by the people that maintain those systems make.
