My name is precious,im 15 and i live in nigeria. Im nt tryin to under rate nigeria but it sucks here 4 me,why?because i wanna be a singer nd im really scared to tel my parents abt it cuz they won't let me i know,nd it hurts. i kinda live in the suburb of nigeria.....i have a youtube acct,a facebook page,twitter acct and so on bt i have no computer nd that sucks.....i really want to be a singer,i wanna be exposed.....what should i do?

It's funny how you say you don't have a computer. Yet obviously you need one to be on Yahoo Answers. So....

You could live anywhere of your choosing in the world, have lots of money for a studio and agent etc, and still you'd have about a 0.001% chance of making any real money.
It's just that there's too much BS being flooded on the already dying music market that it's nearly impossible to stand out even if you're incredible. That being said, there's still nothing that should discourage you from doing it as a hobby. But it's simply foolish to expect an income from it without a primary plan that doesn't involve singing.

Go for your dream! I am a singer too an it's my passion! What I would do is sit your parents down and tell them how much this means to you and how this is your dream! Ask them to give you a chance and even sing to them show them show them how good you really are! Haha if you have a local church you go to you can sing there too thats what I do except I'm 13! Put videos on YouTube and share it on Facebook ask your friends to share it! Compete! Do everything you can!

That's that. Just do it, even if you don't get really really famous you do will feel so good about yourself!
