What do you call a person who hates popularized things? - Black_Hornet - 11-13-2012 05:54 AM

For example, someone who hates Ipods, facebook, Iphones, etc., because they have been over popularized by the media and prefers to use alternatives such as, equally capable mp3 players; WLM (Windows Live Messenger), email; and Android cellphones.

Maybe "independently minded", since they don't care about fads?

That sounds just like me! I often rant about how much I hate iPhones, Facebook, Twitter, etc., although I don't even know what the difference between an Android and iPhone is besides they're made from different companies. I really don't like hearing about "fads" or "trends", period, whether it's some celebrity, fashionable clothes, cars, etc. The problem is, my resistance to fads goes too far, to the point I seem like a total dork.
